Senior Java Developer

Summary

A candidate in this position will work in a team oriented environment with rapid turn around times from requirements collection to product deployment.

Our java development team is responsible for new and ongoing development and maintenance of the various back-end and support applications used internally at Telio.

The right candidate has a strong focus on delivering the right quality on schedule, while still ensuring the maintainability of Telio’s systems in the long term.

Duties

• Work with requirements collection, analysis and design
• Participate in and help drive the entire planning and development process
• Write code that is functionally correct, extensible and reusable
• Integrate with third party tools and applications as needed

Requirements

• M.Sc in Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years of experience working on real projects with complex requirements
• Excellent, senior-level skills in Java development using open source tools
• Candidates must actively keep updated on emerging technologies
• Proven experience with the Spring framework
• Good skills in modeling of relational database systems
• Experience with SOAP, XML and SQL
• Candidates must be willing to use Linux as their development platform
• Experience with MySQL
• Good communication skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Able to work closely with the other team members
