Technical requirements for video telephony

With a video telephone from Telio you can make regular calls with voice only, or you can communicate with both voice and video. Transferring video requires more broadband width than audio alone, so we recommend that you measure your broadband speed before you order video telephony. There are, of course, no PC requirements to use Telio video telephony.

Requirements for high quality video

Telio video telephony requires approximately 500Kbit/s (0,5Mbit/s) in both download and upload speed. Most broadband subscriptions offer you much higher download speeds than upload speeds, so it is particularly important than you measure your upload speed. If you have less than 500Kbit/s in upload speed your video quality will be reduced, but you will still be able to make regular calls with superior audio quality*.
